Jesus said that anyone who gave one of the least followers of his a cup of cold water to drink, because he or she was a follower of Christ, would not lose their reward. Jesus is commending the virtue of generosity. He asks us to give in love to all who ask of us. This is a way to show Jesus to others without preaching.
