Living the gospel

Robert Cardinal Sarah writes in an article that the mission of religious communities and I include here the Confraternity of Penitents as a Lay Religious Organization, is to live out with fidelity and without compromise the faith we have received from Christ. It is in doing so we will save the heritage of many centuries of faith. It is in living the Gospel with Fire that we transmit it. He says watch over this Sacred Fire!

These are times that require heroic virtue and Cardinal Sarah says that all civilizations that ignore the eminent dignity of the human person always fail. All we have to do is look at all the ways this is playing out; from abortion to euthanasia, murdering the handicapped and elderly and the complete disrespect for the lives of others and i would also say the demolition of the family by cultural waves of self interest all have added to the self destruction of our civilization. We are on a slippery slope that is getting harder and harder to come back from.
